THE OPEN FUND
Grants up to £5,000 to support artists, bands, songwriters, composers, performers, and producers who are creating their own music or commissioning others.

Funding Criteria

Must have a track record of at least 18 months.

Must be striving to make a career out of songwriting/composing.

There are two stages of applications:

Present 2 musical examples and a brief description of your project and how it fits with The Open Fund’s funding priorities.

Elaborate on how your project fits with the funding priorities with a focus on how your project is developing long-term plans, audiences, and the music creators.

The competition is a bit tough as only 20% of applications went on to stage 2 in 2015.
